I originally planned this trip as a fishing excursion for my husband and sons. Never in my wildest dreams did i think our stay would turn out to be a life-altering experience. We have traveled all over the world, but nothing in terms of hospitality compares to Patagonia River Ranch. It was the trip of a lifetime, and we can’t wait to come back.

Trip Logistics to Patagonia River Ranch
From start to finish, your trip logistics can be arranged by the two travel companies we suggest: a travel agency based here in Jackson Hole, Aspen Travel, and a concierge team in Buenos Aires, LOL Argentina, for all your in-country logistics. With the assistance of these two experienced travel professionals, you can be assured that the logistics of getting from your hometown to Patagonia River Ranch (and back again!) will be seamless and stress-free.
- FLIGHT TO BUENOS AIRES – Overnight flights are available to Buenos Aires from all major U.S. gateway cities. Once in Buenos Aires guests will be greeted at the airport by an English-speaking member of the concierge team (if arranged ahead of time).
- ARRIVAL AND STAY IN BUENOS AIRES -Even if you don’t plan to stay in Buenos Aires, you will need to travel between the international and domestic airports (approximately a 1 hour drive) to connect to your next flight. The concierge team will drive you to your hotel of choice (or to the next airport), and will help you with the check-in process. They’re also happy to arrange dinner reservations, tango shows, city and cultural tours, shopping locations and more.
- FLIGHT TO SAN MARTIN DE LOS ANDES – Most guests fly from Buenos Aires to San Martin on Saturday (approximately 2 hours via Aerolineas Argentinas). From there, you have the option to come directly to the ranch or stay in the resort town of San Martin for the night. In either case, we will meet you at the San Martin airport upon arrival. If you choose to come to the ranch Saturday you can unpack your bags, explore the ranch property, stroll through the gardens, go to the river, or simply relax. Alternatively, some guests choose to stay in San Martin Saturday, then on Sunday morning, we will pick you up at your hotel and drive you to the Ranch (45 minutes). You’ll meet your fishing guide and head out to enjoy a full day of fishing or any of the other activities available.
- RETURN FLIGHT TO BUENOS AIRES AND BACK HOME – On the following Saturday, you’ll be taken to the San Martin airport for your return flight to Buenos Aires. You can again use our recommended concierge team, who will arrange the transfer to the international airport to make the journey back home or to another travel destination.
